Spiral Time

Updated: Sep 26, 2023

Devi of Time, MahaKali, found me again, called me Home.

Introduced to this Mother, the first of the Dasha Maha Vidyas, by my Teacher and Pied Piper, Jasmine Tarkeshi, always Her wildness captivated me. Before I even knew her She knew me. Here, in Haridwar, India, during the world's largest festival of faith, the Kumbh Mela 2010, bathing in Mother Ganga is said to cleanse your karma, and that of your ancestors. In this day, my second bath, we are across from the Kali Temple. Each the 3 bathing experiences, baptism by full emersion, I prayed for us, my ancestors and myself to be freed, cleansed of our karma.

Om Kreem Kalikiye Namaha!

Thirteen years later, in small town Oregon, right down the road, a Kali Temple created by a Kali Devotee, a Teacher steeped in Her practices brought me Home, again.

Grappling with the heart breaking tragedies of my Mother's patrilineal line, my intention and hope has been to heal those broken souls, to heal those ancestors. In spiral time, through blood line, I've been asking How? The Divine is brilliant, more faceted than imaginable, with as many names for each Face. Who better to assist in grappling with dead ancestors, for their souls to be liberated than the aspect of One Who Spirals Through Time, through Death, through Rebirth. The essence of my Beloved Jesus who came to set us free, perhaps it was She who upturned the polluted temple market? Fierce Love. 'Good trouble'.

Moving backward, moving forward, layering, stacking circling time, perhaps now I have a breakthrough to continue writing the story, finding a way to resolution. Slicing away the ties that bind the bloody ends, their story, my story; may we create a new story, the boon of my pilgrimage.
